I am so damn tired. I went to sleep at 8 last night, woke up around 12 and couldn't get back to sleep until 4. My vision keeps going out of focus and I was almost nodding off on the way to work. I've come to work with less than three hours before and didn't feel this tired. Must be that goddamned hurricane Katrina and Al-Qaeda.

I wonder if anyone would notice if I just went to sleep at my desk..

In other news, if you play WoW and think goats are pretty rad, you may like to know that we've formed a new guild called Iconoclast on the Horde side of the new Eastern PvP server Anetheron.

Restriction in fuel return line
Sagging headliner board

Driver-side power window motor

New:
Whatever's making my transmission shift like a sloth with arthritis.

The shop my grandmother had AAA tow my brother's car to charged him about $430 for replacing the alternator. They're $120 from the auto parts store down the street, and my friend who works there says that's overpriced compared to Auto Zone. To hell with computers; the real money's in being an auto mechanic.

In other news: Net Heroes, the LAN center/hobo hangout in Eustis, finally went out of business last week and their power went out a few days ago, leaving a few hardcore gamers homeless. Also, it's rumored that the place is now missing an office chair or two. Since I have very recently acquired a few very nice office chairs (purely coincidental) and would hate to see them get stolen, I can certainly sympathize with the owner and I hope they catch the crooks who did it.

I think it was in either December of 04 or January 05 when I got my Walbro 340 fuel pump put in my tank and directly wired to my alternator. Since then, apparently my fuel pressure has been at about 80 PSI. It's supposed to be somewhere between 40 and 45. I just recently decided to put on my adjustable fuel pressure regulator (which requires a fuel pressure gauge) so I could get the thing tuned correctly for the track after putting in the intercooler. The reason for the high pressure is a restriction in the fuel return line, and to fix it I'd (read: Heath'd) have to pull the whole hard line off that runs from the engine compartment to the tank, drop the tank if that's clear, and possibly have to use a dremel tool the widen an opening in the fitting at the small 1/10" passageway where the line goes from 5/16" to 1/4". Too much work, and probably not something that we could do without a lift. So I may just get to let a shop rape me for a few hundred bucks on this one.

This wasn't really an issue until an intercooler with larger openings and twice the core was put in, maxing out my stock mass air flow sensor. Now my car's going ape shit and just throwing all kinds of fuel at the engine since it has no idea how much air is flowing in. I don't know if I'd rather spend $350+ on an LS1 MAF plus translator and MAF pipe, or just keep blowing black smoke like a true 80s land sled.

And then there's this compressor surge at open throttle issue..

In other news, my grandmother is only alive because she has the superhuman ability to draw the life force from AAA phone operators. That's the only rational explanation I can think of as to why she calls AAA so often. My brother's alternator is on its way out. For a while it was powering the car but not charging the battery. Now it's doing neither. I offered the simple solution of stopping by Auto Zone on my way home from work and getting an alternator, since I had already replaced the four year-old battery with a new one and checked all the cables and connections. NO! I need more souls! We will call AAA...:turns into a bat and flies away:. So, my brother loses one of his three emergency calls this year, and gets to pay a $400 bill for parts and labor.
